Response to the Ottoman Empire:
I think if it was this level of control eventually all the citizens would get SO sick of following these rules they would eventually just revolt, because in human nature we all want to be free and be our own person.

How does this relate to nationalism?
All the different ethnic groups came together despite their differences in order to revolt against the main rule.

It Means
  • A Man on a horse giving comands.
  • Soldiers in uniform on a battle field.
  • Guns
  • He's leader.
  • There's going to be a battle.
  • People are going to get shot?

Autocracy, is just like monarchy, when one person rules the whole government.

Society under the Czars was agricultural, alot of peasants were considered to be nothing more than the land they worked on.

1.) Nationalist Russians monarchs are called Autocrats or CZARS
2.) When there is one ruler
3.)Peasents, or serfs
4.) Nobles
Alexander the II gave peasents more last which is all he really did.

  4. Gave the serfs right to land
They attacked Jews because they thought that Jews were plotting to take over the world, underline cause of the Holocaust.

  2. Nationalist feelings began because, all the people were so tired of having no power and being treated badly, so they got the idea to get together as one, and when there's nationalism, theres bound to be fighting!
